Bald-faced Hutzpah of Republicans to insert CNA Training Hour Reduction Into COVID-19 Relief Package

Wisconsin AFL-CIO President Stephanie Bloomingdale made the following statement as the Wisconsin Legislature takes up the COVID-19 relief bill:

After weeks of Republicans refusing to meet, Wisconsin legislators are finally meeting Tuesday, April 14, to debate and pass a comprehensive coronavirus response bill. The federal government is providing financial assistance to states to deal with the impact of the coronavirus.

Congratulations to Justice Jill Karofsky who was been elected by the people of Wisconsin to a 10-year term on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The officers of the Wisconsin AFL-CIO released the following Election Night statement. 

"Once again the CDC is putting profits over people with its latest recommendations that downgrade worker protections at a time when they are needed most," said Richard Trumka, president of the AFL-CIO.
