New legislation to improve patient care in our Wisconsin hospitals has been introduced in the Wisconsin Legislature. The Nurse Staffing and Patient Protection Act has been introduced as Senate Bill 470 and assigned to the Committee on Health.

Wisconsin workers are ready to support our striking UAW brothers and sisters at the Big Three as long as it takes until a fair contract is reached with the automakers. There are currently two UAW-represented locations on strike in Wisconsin.

Members of the United Auto Workers union are currently in negotiations for a fair contract at the “Big 3” automakers of Ford, GM, and Stellantis (Chrysler, Ram, Jeep). The Big 3 have made record profits in the last decade and UAW members are united for a record contract.

September 22, 2023 – At 11:00 am local time, the United Auto Workers expanded their historic Stand Up Strike to thirty-eight GM and Stellantis parts and distribution locations across twenty states.
