Voters Elect Pro-Worker Trifecta in Wisconsin, Flip Multiple Congressional Districts

Wisconsin voters elect David Crowley next Governor, vote for pro-worker majority in state legislature, flip Congressional Districts 1 and 3
Wisconsin AFL-CIO President Stephanie Bloomingdale released the following statement on a historic night for union families:
“What a night for Wisconsin workers! Wisconsinites voted for strong, pro-worker leadership in David Crowley as our next Governor. As Governor, David Crowley will fight to protect workers, our wages, and our right to a strong union.
Voters also elected a pro-union majority in the state legislature for the first time in over a decade. With a pro-worker trifecta reached in state government, Wisconsinites are looking to our elected leaders to get to work addressing the real issues facing working people: lowering costs, increasing affordability, creating good jobs, and restoring worker rights.
Congratulations to Governor-elect Crowley, newly elected Congressional Representatives Rebecca Cooke and Mitchell Berman, and congratulations to all our endorsed candidates elected tonight to the state legislature. Wisconsinites have placed our trust in you to work for the people, not the billionaires, by advancing an economy with good jobs and economic opportunity for all with strong unions.
In Wisconsin and across the country, union members left it all out on the field during our Labor Votes voter education and mobilization program. Union member volunteers knocked doors, made phone calls, wrote postcards, and had countless worker to worker conversations to move the needle for our union-approved candidates.”
