May 7: Absentee Ballot Request Deadline for CD 7 Special Election
This Thursday, May 7, at 5:00 p.m., is the deadline to request an absentee mail-in ballot for regular and permanent overseas voters in the May 12 special election in Wisconsin’s Congressional District 7. Request your absentee ballot online at myvote.wi.gov. For additional information on how to vote absentee or early in-person, view the Wisconsin AFL-CIO Voter Guide at wisaflcio.org/voter-guide The Wisconsin AFL-CIO has endorsed union member Tricia Zunker (SAG-AFTRA) in CD 7. Zunker is running to replace former Congressman Sean Duffy who resigned his seat last fall. Zunker’s opponent, Tom Tiffany, is a close ally of Scott Walker and voted for union-busting Act 10 and supports repealing Davis-Bacon prevailing wage laws that lower wages for workers. Tricia Zunker will stand up to support the rights of all working people in Wisconsin. Volunteer to get out the vote for Tricia Zunker with our virtual phone banks at wisaflcio.org/mobilize In Congressional District 7, request your ballot at myvote.wi.gov by 5:00 p.m. on May 7 and make sure your ballot is mailed back with enough time to be received by your clerk no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, May 12.
