Machinists Local 66 and 510 Union Members on Strike at Miller Brewery

Approximately 43 International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) union members at Molson Coors Beverage Company in Milwaukee voted to reject the company’s final offer and overwhelmingly voted to strike on October 1, as the contract expired at midnight. The IAM Locals 66 and 510 represents mechanics and machine repair workers at the Milwaukee brewery. 

Machinists at Molson Coors are standing strong on the picket line, fighting for a fair contract. Workers are demanding a deal that not only rewards their vital contributions but also respects their right to a healthy work-life balance and family time. 

The primary issues driving this strike include:

Family/Work/Life Balance: The employer insists on an alternate work schedule and other concessions that undermine our members’ flexibility and negatively impact their work/life balance.

Economics: The company’s economic offer fails to keep up with inflation, does not match wages of other trades at Molson Coors, and other area benchmarks.

The Wisconsin labor movement proudly stands in solidarity with our brothers and sisters of Machinists Union Local 66 and 510 on strike at Molson Coors Beverage Company for a fair and just contract. We urge Molson Coors to negotiate in good faith to reach a mutually beneficial contract. The courageous members of Machinists Union Local 66 and Local 510 are taking a stand and using their collective power and solidarity to preserve good family-sustaining jobs that build our Wisconsin middle class.
