Endorsement: Rebecca Cooke in CD 3

The Wisconsin AFL-CIO is proud to announce our endorsement of Rebecca Cooke in Wisconsin's 3rd Congressional District. For more endorsements, click here. Wisconsin's 3rd congressional district covers most of the Driftless Area in southwestern and western Wisconsin. The district includes the cities of Eau Claire, La Crosse, and Stevens Point, as well as many Wisconsin exurbs of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. It borders the states of Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois. Republican Derrick Van Orden has represented the district since 2023.

Stephanie Bloomingdale, President of the Wisconsin AFL-CIO, released the following statement announcing the labor federation’s endorsement of Rebecca Cooke in Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District:

“The Wisconsin AFL-CIO is proud to endorse Rebecca Cooke for Congress. Rebecca Cooke stands with working families and will vote to protect collective bargaining and union rights. She is a strong supporter of the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act so we can update labor law to empower workers and bring balance to our economy. Her opponent, Derrick Van Orden, voted against the PRO Act and has a stark anti-union record in Congress. Our best chance of turning the tide for workers and creating an economy where we can all get ahead is to elect Rebecca Cooke in Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District this November.”
