We Thank You Wednesday- May 27th

We Thank You Wednesday was designed to thank the Essential Union Workers for their dedication to our community. We show our support for the individual and their local union. We also want their employers to know that we want them to provide safe working environments for the employees.

This week we will be thanking grocery store workers and members of UFCW 1473.

Wednesday, May 27th

10am-11am 

We will gather at the Metro Market on 70th and State at 10am. As part of our rally, we will walk to the Outpost on 70th and State, and then on to the Metcalfe Sentry on 68th Street. This gives us the ability to thank workers at three different organized grocery stores.

We cannot be taken seriously if we do not display the same safe actions while showing our support. For that reason, we require all those who join in We Thank You Wednesday’s show of support to wear masks and maintain social distancing rules of staying at least 6 feet apart during our rally.

Please do not be offended if we ask you to put on a mask or to remain a safe distant apart during the rally. The safety of everyone in our main concern. Thank You for your understanding.
