Union Made Moment- Komatsu (P&H Division)
The members of our affiliate unions make some pretty incredible stuff and we want you to know about it!
Our Union Made Moment for June is the Model 2100 Coal Mining Shovel you've probably seen while heading to a Brewer game on National Ave made by members of USW 1114.
The shovel was built for open pit mining in 1976 when the company was known as P&H Harnischfeger until the machine was decommissioned in 1996. You can find the clock number of union members that built it stamped inside the boom. The company was then known as Joy Global and is now know as Komatsu (P&H division).
