Milwaukee Public Schools Spring Election Endorsements

The Committee on Political Education of the Milwaukee Area Labor Council has conducted interviews of candidates in the Spring Election for the Milwaukee Public Schools Board of Directors and forwarded recommendations to the full delegate assembly of the Milwaukee Area Labor Council.

Delegates from local unions in the building trades, the industrial, public, and service sectors voted in favor of endorsing the following:

MPS School Board At Large- Bob Peterson

MPS School Board District 1- Marva Herndon

MPS School Board District 2- Erika Siemsen

MPS School Board District 3- Sequanna Taylor

MPS School Board District 8- Megan O’Halloran

“Children are the future so a high quality public education system benefits us all,” said Pam Fendt, President of the Labor Council. “It’s clear that these five candidates are dedicated to public schools that benefit both students and staff.”

There is a Primary Election in MPS School Board District 8 on Tuesday, February 19th. The General Election will follow on Tuesday April 2nd. Voter readiness is essential.
