Labor Spotlight- Julius Kingsby

Julius Kingsby was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and sandwiched between 2 older sisters and 4 younger brothers. Julius attended high school at South Milwaukee and then went into the Marines for 6 years.

He got involved in the labor movement by being exposed to the mistreatment of the employees from previous employers after he returned from military service. Julius is a member of IBEW 2150 and is getting more and more active with their local union's events and meetings.

Julius is proud of the way his path in life has changed for the better, his military service, and being around his loving family.

Julius firmly believes the words of Malcolm X when he said, "We need more light about each other. Light creates understanding, understanding creates love, love creates patience and patience creates unity."
