Labor Spotlight- empowHER

empowHER was created in 2019 to encourage and promote a path to leadership for women in the building and construction trades, to support and retain those that are already here, and to reach out to GROW empowHER's membership thereby strengthening all organized labor in Wisconsin.

Since then, empowHER has grown with local chapters in Madison and Northeast Wisconsin.

You can find empowHER at career fairs, talking to young women at Milwaukee Public Schools, hosting a table at Kids Build Wisconsin, or volunteering in the community. It's exciting to see such powerful role models for young women in a traditionally male dominated industry. The solidarity is infectious.
