This past Wednesday, April 10th, worker leader, union member, and MALC Delegate Chanell Biami was involved in a serious car accident on the North Side of Milwaukee.

Chanell has been a CMRJB Workers United member for over 30 years and has been a union representative for the past 7 years. Chanell’s passion and empathy for workers have been instrumental in the labor movement’s growth in Wisconsin and the Midwest. Chanell has been a member and political organizer, a bargainer, an advocate, and a great co-worker to her peers and allies.

Her strength is well known, which is what gives her family and friends the hope that Chanell will completely recover to join us once again in the lines of solidarity.

Chanell and her family are faced with a long and difficult road ahead of them. In the labor movement, we don’t walk alone. Please consider a donation to the Labor Relief Fund to help the Biami family in their time of need- https://actionnetwork.org/fundraising/labor-relief-fund-2

Checks can be made to Labor Community at Work with “Labor Relief Fund” in the memo line and mailed to 633 S. Hawley Rd. Suite 110, Milwaukee, WI 53214.
